Angel Tree - December 2021
During this season of giving, World Deliverance followers of Christ and supporters, look forward to participating in the Prison Fellowship Angel Tree program. As we celebrate the birth of our Lord Jesus Christ, we give children gifts on behalf of incarcerated parents within the Illinois Dept. of Corrections. This year we partnered with the Village of Bellwood and, along with our
sponsor, Chicago Methodist Senior Services, as well as many generous donors, we
were able to help bring the love and spirit of Christmas to children in Bellwood and broader Proviso Township Community. We also helped offer peace of mind to a parent who must be absent during this time. Each child receives gifts, a message from their parent, and a bag of treats.

Because the Spirit of Christmas is
not limited to one day a year, we encourage continued support of and relationship
with our Angel Tree families. All year,
you can join us to help to meet the physical, emotional, and spiritual needs of
families in this community. From mentoring opportunities to sponsoring a child
for special events to donating your time and financial support to our outreach
efforts, there are many ways for volunteers to have a lasting impact on the
lives of Angel Tree children, their caregivers, and their families! Get involved
today. Contact us now to find out how we can work together to BLESS an Angel
Tree family, or how you can participate in any of our other outreach efforts.

Samaritan's Purse
Operation Christmas Child
Shoebox Gifts
Every year, Samaritan’s Purse collects shoebox gifts filled with toys, school supplies, and hygiene items for children around the world. Since 1993, more than 178 million children in more than 150 countries have received an Operation Christmas Child shoebox. The project delivers not only the joy of what, for many kids, is their first gift ever, but also gives them a tangible expression of God’s love.
Each year, World Deliverance Christian Center partners with Samaritan’s Purse to spread the love of our Lord, Jesus Christ, to children across the world. Shoebox gifts are packed with age-appropriate gifts to bless children who may never have experienced the joy of Christmas or heard the gospel that is the foundation of our faith. When a box reaches its destination, a bible in the language of that region is added so that the child and his or her family will be able to study the Word. The box is delivered by local followers of Christ who use the package as an opportunity to talk and walk with that family as they build their faith. Many of these volunteers serve in places where they face great persecution because of their faith.
These shoebox gifts are an opportunity to share the Gospel and “declare His glory among the nations, His wonders among all peoples” (Psalm 96:3).
Even with social distancing in effect this year, World Deliverance was privileged to participate in support of this international program that will touch people in parts of the world we may never know. Your generous support helps the gospel reach souls all over the world.
